No.1 Traveller shortlisted for Innovation Award

21st January 2011 | Press release

No.1 Traveller, the premium airport hospitality firm, has been shortlisted by the Business Travel & Meetings Show (BTMS) for the 2011 Innovation Awards in the Traveller Support Services category.

No.1 Traveller is the first and only company to provide all travellers with a premium service from Driveway to Runway.  Whatever the reason for travelling No.1 Traveller can collect guests from their office, hotel or home anywhere in the UK in its chauffeur-driven Mercedes-Benz vehicles, Fast Track them through security* and then wait on them in its designer airport lounges.

The company operates airport lounges in Gatwick and Stansted airports – with more locations due to open in 2011 – and offer the best views in the airport looking out over the runways.  The lounges are independent of the airport, airlines and handling agents, making the guest experience the company’s top priority.

Howard Ebison, general manager – commercial from No.1 Traveller, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award.  We’re a young and ambitious company with big ideas, but to have it acknowledged that we’re already delivering great results for our guests is fantastic news.

“We take complex e-commerce and logistical hurdles and distil these into a simple process for our customers.  Each element of Driveway to Runway is also available to book in isolation, with adult lounge entry starting at £15.

“We have big plans for the No.1 Traveller brand so will be expanding our traveller support services far and wide.”

Votes can be placed from today until Monday 7 February at www.innovation-awards.com/vote.  The category winners will be announced on the first morning of the show, which takes place 8-9 February 2011 at London’s Earls Court.  The Gold Award – which is the entry that receives the most votes overall – will be unveiled at the BTMS after show party on 8 February.

* Fast Track currently available at Stansted only.
