Don’t risk travelling without insurance – airport lounge provider launches travel insurance product

Holidaymakers who leave things until the last minute can now purchase travel insurance at the airport thanks to airport lounge provider No.1 Traveller.

No.1 Traveller, which currently has airport lounges in Stansted and Gatwick Airport’s South Terminal as well as a new lounge in Gatwick’s North Terminal opening in May 2011, has teamed up with InsureandGo to offer comprehensive travel insurance policies to lounge guests.  The policies, which include single trip, annual multi-trip, winter sports, backpacker and over-65 cover, can be bought online in any of No.1 Traveller’s award-winning independent airport lounges.

Howard Ebison, Commercial Manager at No.1 Traveller, said: “One in five UK holidaymakers go on holiday without adequate travel insurance cover, risking substantial medical bills abroad – with many believing that the Foreign Office will pay their expenses.
